Point Pleasant Boro Jazz & Blues Festival

The day-long music festival is all set to kick off on Saturday July 19.

The 3rd Annual Point Pleasant Borough Jazz and Blues Festival will be held on Saturday July 19 in Riverfront Park at the corner of Maxson Ave and River Rd. It is expected to begin at noon and last until 8:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to bring out their lawn chairs and take a listen to six bands, with Debbie Davies as the headliner! Each group will play hour-long sets with a 15 minute break in between. All performances will take place on the main stage.

The national anthem will be sung at exactly noon and the line-up is as follows:

12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.: Crimson Sky, playing “amazing psychedelic Blues Rock.”

1:30p.m. - 2:30 p.m.: Trish Mata Trio, playing “soulful Jazz from the heart.”

2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.: The Cobra Brothers featuring Carlos Colina playing “Hard-driving Blues, & a little Rock.”

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Jane Stuart Quartet, playing “fresh Jazz, with an attitude.”

5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.: James Day and the Fish Fry, playing “New Orleans Music.”

6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Headliner Debbie Davies, who  “wields an electric guitar as if it were a wand.”

In addition to free music, the festival will feature vendors, crafters and art. There will also be Beer and Wine Garden. The festival is dog friendly but coolers are prohibited.

The event will be held rain or shine.
