Elks Hold Football and Cheer Registration Wednesday Night

Football and cheerleading registration, a parents' meeting and "sneaker night" will all be held tonight at the Point Pleasant Elks Lodge, 820 Arnold Ave., Point Beach.

Those who wish to participate in cheer can register and order sneakers, bodysuits and socks at 6 p.m.

Those who want to play football can register and order game jerseys at 7:30 p.m.

In between those times, there will be a parents' meeting at 7 p.m. where parents can meet coaches and get information on season schedules, games, practices and upcoming events for football and cheer.

The cost of registration for those ages 7 to 15 is $200 for the first child, $150 for a second child and $100 for a third child.

Registration for flag football and cheer for ages 5 and 6 is $75. Children must be at least five years old by July 31 of this year.

Challenger non-contact football or cheer is free. Challengers are youngsters with special challenges or special needs.

Parents of registrants need to bring a recent photo (passport size); an original and copy of birth certificate; two copies of June report card; completed and signed Pop warner parent/players' contract and a completed and signed Pop Warner physical form.

 Those registering for the first time must also bring insurance information and parents must bring their children with them to register.
