Free Adoption of Kittens from Point Paws During August

Point Paws asks for donations of pet food or supplies

Point Paws, the Animal Welfare Committee of Point Borough, is offering free adoption of kittens as part of "Pick Meow't Adoption Month" during the rest of August.

"Come by our rescue center on 733 Albert E. Clifton Ave. in Point Borough (by appointment only) and browse our adorable kitties," says a prepared statement from Point Paws. "If we approve your application, we will waive the adoption fee."

In lieu of adoption fees, Point Paws is asking for donations of: Friskies Canned Food, Fancy Feast Kitten cans, Purina Cat Chow Dry Food and Purina Kitten Chow Dry, laundry detergent, dish detergent, litter (both clay and scoopable) toilet paper, paper towels, baby wipes, formula for kittens (preferably KMR powder or cans) kitten bottles or towels.

"Set up an appointment to see our cats and kittens. We offer veterinary care to our kitties, and many kittens are up on vaccinations and de-worming.
We are a trap-neuter-return program, so many of our kittens have already been spayed and neutered.

"Open adoption events are held on the first and third Sunday of each month from  noon until 3 p.m. at our facility. We are at Petco on Route 70 in Brick on Sundays from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m."
