Point Boro's Father's Day 5K Run was Held at Community Park

Point Boro Rotary held event to help fight melanoma

The Fourth Annual Father's Day 5K Run was held at Point Boro's Community Park on Saturday.

The Point Boro Rotary Club held the event to help fight melanoma and raise funds for Rotary charities.

The event included a fast course with electronic timing, mile splits, water stops, pre- and post-race refreshments, and awards to top three finishers in many categories.

The one mile fun run began at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m.

Pre-registration before June 11th was $20 for the 5K and $10 for the fun run. Race day registration was $25 and $15.

The first 300 registered runners received a race T-shirt.
