The Animal Welfare Committee is waiving its adoption fee, upon application approval, for its cat and kittens through the weekend. The volunteers will be at the center at 733 Albert E. Clifton Ave. from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Point Paws administers the Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) program for the Point Borough area. The program is designed to help reduce the feral cat population, control disease and create a safer, healthier environment for feral cats and the community.

The facility also serves as a shelter for kitties awaiting their "forever homes." The adoption events for resident cats and fundraisers support the TNR efforts.
