Week Ahead: Point Beach Summer Camp Starts Monday and July 4th is Thursday!

Fireworks to be held 9 p.m. July 4th at Jenkinson's

Here is a sampling of what's ahead in the greater Point Pleasant area, leading up to July 4th on Thursday.

The Farmer's Market will be held every Sunday, including this Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Municipal Parking Lot behind the Arnold Avenue stores and between Route 35 South and River Avenue (418-422 River Avenue), Point Beach. A wide variety of farm fresh produce and honey will be available.

The Point Beach Recreation Committee summer camp starts Monday. For more information, click here.

A Classic Car Cruise will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Arnold and Bay avenues, Point Beach. For more information, click here.

Read to the Dogs will be held at the Point Pleasant Borough branch of the Ocean County library, 4 p.m. Wed. For more info., click here.

On July 4th, there is no recycling or trash collection in Point Borough. Trash and recycling collection in Point Borough will be a day later than usual. 

"Sanitation and recycling service" will be provided on July 4th in Point Beach, according to the municipal website.

All Beach and Borough offices are closed on July 4th.

Fireworks are scheduled on Jenkinson's beach at 9 p.m. Thurs., July 4th.
