Point Pleasant Beach Expanding Tree Lighting Festivities

Friday Nov. 29 won't simply end with a flip of the switch on the Point Pleasant Beach Christmas Tree. Local businesses and civic groups are planning on offering expanded festivities around Arnold and Bay avenues.

Here's the complete schedule as posted by the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce:
Please Join the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate Santa’s Arrival and our Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 29th 2013 downtown Point Pleasant Beach on Bay & Arnold Avenues. Ceremony begins at 5:30 pm until 8 pm. Santa arrives at 6 pm.  Come by and have your photo taken with Santa, listen to live Music, take a ride on the Fire Truck, visit with our Clowns and enjoy FREE refreshments. For additional information please call us @ 732-899-2424

In addition, Cara Realtors is having a special bicycle event. Cara Realtors is giving away 6 bicycles the night of the tree lighting ceremony/Santa's arrival in town. (two bikes for children, two for teenagers, and two for adults).

Local resident Stephanie Salardino is helping to run a food drive at the tree lighting in front of Stella e Luna. Food will be donated to St. Gregory's Pantry in PPB and Visitation Relief Center in Brick.
As an incentive to get people to donate, a few retailers in town are donating free item cards to give to individuals that do donate.
