IRS Paid Out $132 Billion in Bogus Tax Credits over Last Decade
According to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, the Internal Revenue Service unbelievably has paid out around $13 billion in bogus tax credits over the past year, and has erroneously paid over $132 billion over the past decade. Yet, no one seems that worried about this. Or, at least worried enough to stop this incredibly monstrous waste of taxpayer dollars.
Just remember that the Obama administration basically shut down a number of NASA programs, such as the space shuttle, in order to save about $3 billion annually. Here, we are wasting four times that amount each year.
And, now apparently, the IRS is saying that they really don’t believe that they will be able to stop these erroneous payments, as seen by the Inspector General’s comment that “The IRS acknowledges that further reductions in the EITC improper payment rate will be difficult to achieve.”
