Point Beach Organization Meeting Today at 1 P.M.
Andy Cortes and Stephen Reid to be sworn in as council members
Republicans Andy Cortes and Stephen Reid, who won two, three year Point Beach council seats in November's general election, will be sworn in at today's organization meeting. Cortes is a newcomer to council and Reid won after being appointed to council in December 2011. The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. at Borough Hall, 416 New Jersey Ave. The annual organization meeting is also when the top officials of the local, volunteer fire department are sworn in and council committee and professional appointments are made, including municipal attorney and auditor.
