Music, Beer and Wine Festival Today in Point Boro

Event at Riverfront Park, River Road

  Live bands, food, a beer and wine garden and a lovely spring evening overlooking the Manasquan River are all part of the Music, Beer and Wine Festival from 1 to 8 p.m. today. The event will be held at Riverfront Park, River Road, Point Borough (see attached PDF for more details). The live bands scheduled to perform are: Marc Ribler and Friends; The Funktion; Miz; Brue Crew and Yard Monsters. For the band schedule for today and for music festival on July 20, click here. The Borough won’t know the cost until after the event, when it's been calculated how much beer and Shadowbrook wine were sold, Borough officials said. "F.U. Sandy" Beer to Benefit Sandy Victims

Flying Fish to give 100% proceeds to NJ Sandy victims

Huffington Post reports that Flying Fish Brewery Company is ready to give Hurricane Sandy a big F.U. with "F. U. Sandy," a hybrid wheat-pale ale inspired by the storm. (The F.U. stands for "Forever Unloved.") One hundred percent of the proceeds from the beer will go to New Jersey Sandy victims, according to the Huffington Post story. Beer on the Boards on Nov. 3

Event will be held at Martell's, Point Beach

Beer on the Boards will be held from 12:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Martell's on the boardwalk in Point Beach. Those who want to attend are urged to purchase tickets in advance. The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce, which will receive a percentage of the proceeds from the event, is encouraging all to attend. The event will be held rain or shine. There are "beer drinker" sessions, where the price includes beer and a food buffet, and "designated driver" sessions, where no alcoholic beverages are included, but food and non-alcoholic drinks are part of the purchase price. Well worth the $50 dollars. Last year, the food was real good and the beer selection was pretty phenomenal, especially for a lil' ol' Point Pleasant Beach event. Looking to be that way again. Reminder: Point Jazz and Blues Festival at Riverfront Park Today

Billy Hector and other bands, food, beer and wine garden at free event

The Point Pleasant Jazz and Blues Festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today at Riverfront Park, Point Borough. The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation’s Summer Series of Festivals, sponsored by Investors Bank, will put on the free show at the park on River Road and Maxson Avenue. The event will feature live musical performances by headliner Billy Hector and other artists, food, crafters and a beer and wine garden presented by Langunitas Brewing Co. and Señor Sangria. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. All ages are welcome and dogs are allowed on leash.
