Central's Mahoney sets meet record in 100 breaststroke

The action in the pool was nonstop Saturday night at the Ocean County YMCA for the Shore Conference Boys Swimming Championships. Fans and spectators came from all over the Shore to Toms River to see the best high school swimmers in the conference compete and even a few break records. By the time the 11 events were over, Christian Brothers Academy toppled the competition, winning the team title for the 22nd time as the Colts amassed 413 points and finished in the top five in nearly every event. Both Toms River North and Toms River South looked impressive, finishing in second and third with respective scores of 209.5 and 189.
