The Kringle graces the downtown, courtesy of Point Beach Chamber
A whole lot of kids got to see Santa's eyes twinkling up close on Friday night, courtesy of the Point Beach Chamber of Commerce. A long line of children and parents waited patiently outside Ocean County Music and Electronics on Arnold Avenue for their turn to meet Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas. It was the person who emerged from a Christmas red fire engine that made kids shriek and parents smile ear to ear. With flashing bands of red lights bathing his already-red suit, and sirens sounding, Santa, full of the beard and the belly, stepped out of a fire truck at Community Park in Point Borough on Friday night. "Ho, ho, ho," Santa boomed, as he shook hands with children eagerly angling their fists through the wrought iron gate to clasp the Kringle. They were so excited they couldn't wait for Santa to walk down the path to the entrance. They had to touch him - now! But make his way around he did, waving and ho-hoing, up to the stage…
