Center has no more space for clothes, food or supplies
The Point Borough Relief Center on the former Tally's car dealership lot on Bridge Avenue can no longer accept donations of any kind, officials said on Monday. The large building and its parking lot are full of non-perishable food, water, diapers, clothing, outerwear, cleaning supplies and firewood for anyone affected by Sandy to come and take for free. However, there is simply no more room for additional donations, so area residents are asked to please not drop off any more, said Kiel Arnone, Borough Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. Anyone who has had any flooding, property or car damage, power outage (even if power is back on now) or who has been affected by Sandy in any other way is encouraged to take free items from the …

Any residents or business people from any of the surrounding communities, as well as those from Point Borough, who have been impacted by Sandy, are welcome to pick up free supplies at the relief station on Bridge Avenue, just west of the Lovelandtown Bridge, on the former Tally's car dealership lot. There is food, water, clothing, diapers, cleaning supplies, firewood and more. If you need help of any other kind, ask the police and volunteers manning the tables and they will give you referrals. Initially, the relief station was established primarily for residents of hard-hit sections of the Borough. Horrendous …

Students collect food to donate to homeless in Lakewood
Ocean Road Elementary School students are turning the Super Bowl into a "Souper Bowl" for the sake of residents of Lakewood's Tent City.
