Help Point Beach HS Band on Sat. Night

Organizers hope fundraiser concert compensates for the one canceled by Sandy

  If you want to find out what hope sounds like, go to Point Beach High School Media Center from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The Point Beach High School Band students, and the Rodrigos, featuring high school alumni, will perform in “Hope for the New Year: An Evening of Music and Dessert for our Community!” The musical artists will perform in the media center, on the high school's third floor, as audience members enjoy coffee, tea and delectable desserts provided by high school band parents. Admission and refreshments are free. However, the band students and their families are asking the community to make donations at the dessert table to the Point Pleasant Beach High School Music Parents' Assocation, a 501C3 non-profit, all-volunteer …
