The 2012 Festival of the Sea was held Sat. in Point Beach
The sun, the food and the fun made a visit to the Festival of the Sea a great time for my family, friends and I on Saturday afternoon. And getting in and out quickly and easily via free shuttle bus was a big improvement over fighting traffic, driving around looking for a parking spot and then walking a long distance just to get to the beginning of the street fair. Residents from Point Beach, Point Borough, Brick, many parts of New Jersey and beyond, ate, drank and partied at the 2012 Festival of the Sea in downtown Point Pleasant Beach. The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce, which planned and ran the popular seafood festival, could not have asked for more spectacular weather. The sunny skies and warm, balmy weather attracted …

One admission price for amusement park and safari starting Memorial Day weekend
Visitors to the Six Flags Safari in Jackson will have to go through the safari in park vehicles starting next year. Starting Memorial Day weekend of 2013, "guests will load onto a rugged, open-air, Safari vehicle to begin their unique adventure," according to a prepared statement issued by the theme park Thursday morning. And starting next year, there will be one admission price for both the Six Flags amusement park and the safari "adventure," the statement says. The admission price will be $62.99 plus tax per person, the same as this year. Visitors who want to go only to the safari and not the amusement park still have to pay the $62.99, since there will not be a lower entrance fee for safari only, said Kaitlyn Turi, Six Flags Public …
