Mobile Home Units Parked at a Great Adventure Lot Await FEMA Decision on Placement
Manufactured mobile homes, many of them three-bedroom units, will be placed at commercial mobile home parks at the Jersey Shore to aid families who have been forced out of their homes from Hurricane Sandy. FEMA is looking for appropriate parks to place them. "By law, they cannot be placed in high-risk flood zones," said FEMA Public Information Officer Chris McKniff. "These units will provide long-term, temporary housing where families can live for up to 18 months," said McKniff.

One admission price for amusement park and safari starting Memorial Day weekend
Visitors to the Six Flags Safari in Jackson will have to go through the safari in park vehicles starting next year. Starting Memorial Day weekend of 2013, "guests will load onto a rugged, open-air, Safari vehicle to begin their unique adventure," according to a prepared statement issued by the theme park Thursday morning. And starting next year, there will be one admission price for both the Six Flags amusement park and the safari "adventure," the statement says. The admission price will be $62.99 plus tax per person, the same as this year. Early closure for the safari park this season
Six Flags Great Adventure will not allow visitors to drive their own vehicles through the Wild Safari attraction after Sept. 30, the company announced on Monday. For many years guests of the safari have followed the path through the 350-acre sanctuary seeing all different animals they might have only seen on TV. After Sept. 30, they will no longer be able to do that. "Six Flags Wild Safari has been an institution for many families whose first glimpse of exotic animals was with their faces pressed up against the car window," said Safari Director and Chief Veterinarian Bill Rives. What I don't understand is why the governors of NJ and NY are not requesting these mobile homes for the people of there states! FEMA has 2000 of these homes available right now!   more ›
