Christie Brings Town Hall Meeting to Manasquan Thursday

Meeting in Manasquan High School

Gov. Chris Christie will host his next town hall meeting on Thursday March 21 in Manasquan High School. With more than 100 town halls held state-wide during his term as governor, Christie will aim to again recreate his conversational event Thursday, opening with a speech and then taking audience questions. The event will be held in the gymnasium of Manasquan High School, 167 Broad Street, Manasquan, NJ 08736. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. and the event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and open to the public. Please RSVP by clicking here.

She has lived in her home for over 46 yrs...disabled, widowed & lives on SS.....wants to stay in her home to be around her family, granchildren & friends.....she just about makes the TAX payments....NOW additional flood insurance PAYMENTS…   more ›

Complicated grief is the phrase psychologists sometimes use to describe the anguish suffered by those who lose a loved one to suicide. "Those of us who experience complicated bereavement are actually grappling with two realities, grief and trauma," writes suicide survivor Al Hsu in his 2002 book Grieving a Suicide. "Grief is normal; trauma is not. The combination of circumstances is like a vicious one-two punch. We are grieving the death of a loved one, and we are reeling from the trauma of suicide. The first is difficult enough; the second may seem unbearable,” he writes. I met Hsu at a 2008 conference and noticed his book on a vendor's table. I had no idea then that I would need it a few short weeks later when my son took his own life. …
