Part of national campaign to reduce abuse of prescription medication
Anyone who has unwanted prescription medications can drop them off at the Point Borough or Point Beach police departments on Saturday. Residents can drop off the items, anonymously, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police department at Borough Hall on Bridge Avenue in Point Borough or at Point Beach Borough Hall on New Jersey Avenue. The two departments are among many participating in "Operation Take Back New Jersey," a US Drug Enforcement Agency-sponsored event "which provides residents with a means for safe disposal of unwanted, unused prescription medication, including controlled dangerous substances."
