More Power Restored in Point Beach, Police Say
But those with defective meter boxes have to get them replaced before power restored
JCP&L reports that there are only a small amount of Point Beach residents who are still awaiting power who can safely receive power, according to the Point Beach police department. "They are expediting their efforts to complete those areas as soon as possible," says a prepared statement from police. The Building Department is again notifying owners of properties where meters have been pulled or blocked by JCP&L because of flood water damage that they will have to hire a licensed electrician to repair or replace all flood-damaged equipment, the statement says.
