A few local businesses also raising money for the alcohol and drug free event at Atlantic Club
Buy flowers to help local Point Borough High School graduates stay safe after graduation. The annual Spring Flower and Plant Sale is the last major fundraiser for Project Graduation and the deadline to order is Friday. So far, sales are way behind last year's. "We really count on the flower sale to help cover the costs of the night," said Nancy Pazienza of the the committee planning the alcohol and drug free night at the Atlantic Club in Wall following the June 18 graduation. "So far we have less than half the amount of orders we had last year and a third of the amount of sales. The orders and payment need to be in school by 2:30 p.m. Friday. Or they can email me or call me (732-604-0750) and we will come pick the orders up." Project …

Planning and events gearing up for Point Borough's Project Graduation are coming soon and may make the difference between having Project Graduation or not having it. Petal Street Flower Co. donating part of corsage and boutonniere sales to Project Graduation
Point Borough High School parents are urging the community to take a few minutes out of their weekend to help Project Graduation be a success. Those who ordered flowers from the Project Graduation Committee need to pick them up at the high school cafeteria between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday. For those who neglected to order by last week's deadline, and are kind of regretting it, there is still one last chance. Come to the high school cafeteria Saturday morning and pick out some flowers, on a first come-first served basis, from those not already set aside to fill orders. On Sunday, the Project Graduation Committee will have a car wash, "for goodwill donations" from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the STS parking lot on Bridge Avenue, said Noelle Grcic of…

Committee planning the alcohol-free, post-graduation party needs a lot more flower sales to make Project Graduation successful
The Project Graduation Committee is urging the greater Point Borough community to buy some flowers - fast! The deadline has been extended to Friday because the number of flower sales are down 30 percent compared to last year, said Noelle Grcic, one of the parents heading up the small, but determined, parents' committee trying to plan the kind of Project Graduation that Point Borough High School graduates will want to attend. The committee, through other fundraisers, has raised enough money to pay the Atlantic Club in Wall for use of its facility after the June 13 graduation. However, the committee sorely needs more funds to make sure there are enough activities to keep the graduates nice and busy during the event which begins after …

All proceeds benefit the alcohol-free, post-graduation party
"The Beach Battle of the Bands" will be held Saturday to raise money for Point Beach High School's Project Graduation. The event is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., in the high school gym. Organizers of the event are urging the community to attend to raise money for the post-graduation, alcohol-free party, which they hope to have for the graduates at the Atlantic Club in Wall after the June 14 graduation. Although Project Graduation is for Point Beach High School graduates, it is not sponsored or paid for by the high school or the school district, so private donations are crucial to make it happen, organizers have said. Eight bands, consisting of musicians in their teens to mid 20s, from all over New Jersey…
