An Open Letter of Thanks to All Who Helped During Hurricane Sandy As I sit here writing this letter it has been three weeks to the day that “Sandy” impacted all of our lives. Thanksgiving is now only a few days away, when “Sandy” came we were waiting for Halloween’s arrival. In one sense it seems like only yesterday that “Sandy” was beating on our door step and in another it seems like months ago. The past three and a half weeks or so seem like a blur, like a bad dream. It is impossible to convey in words my true feelings of thanks to all those who pitched in during such a trying time, so many who stood tall in the face of adversity and did all they could to try to make all of our lives move forward as smoothly as possible. Kokinda Jr., 53, who lives at the Tip Top Cabins on Route 88, was charged with unlicensed entry of a structure, said Point Borough Police Captain Richard Larsen. He entered the school through an unlocked door on the side of the building near the softball field before staff and students were there, said Schools Superintendent Vincent Smith. He used the bathroom for about 70 minutes before a few students happened to discover him there, Larsen said. Students reported him to staff, a custodian escorted him out and police arrested him at Old Drift Road and…

No one hurt; policies to be reviewed, says superintendent
A man was arrested after Memorial Middle School students found him in a school bathroom early Friday morning, said Point Borough Schools Superintendent Vincent Smith. The man used the bathroom and was washing his hands when a few students saw him and told a teacher, Smith said. The school staff wears identification cards, the man did not have one and did not look familiar, so the students reported him, Smith said. Police were called, a school custodian escorted the man out, and police picked him up near the high school football …
