Holidays are for Healing at Point Boro Sat. Event

Come to Nellie Bennett to help families and have fun

  A "Post Hurricane Holiday Gathering" will be held at Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School on Riviera Parkway on Saturday. The event is open to the general public and admission is free, but the district is asking for donations of gift cards to be given to displaced families. The holiday celebration is from 2 to 5 p.m. and will feature games and arts and crafts for children, as well as a table where residents can sign up to ask for help for themselves or others or to offer help, said Schools Superintendent Vincent Smith. Marcie Bradley, school social worker from Memorial Middle School's Guidance Department, will be there to provide information about the district's "Adopt a Family" Program which involves Borough families in helping other …
