Jose Luis Marquez sentenced in the death of Kyleigh Sousa in Arizona

  An Arizona man was sentenced to life in prison for dragging to death Kyleigh Sousa, a Point Borough woman, near her college in Arizona on May 26, 2010, according to a tweet from the Maricopa County, AZ, court officials. The sentence imposed on Jose Luis Marquez, 22, is life in prison, with a chance of parole, in the murder conviction and two and a half years for a robbery conviction, according to the tweet from the public information office of the Maricopa County Superior Court. Jury finds man guilty of killing Kyleigh Sousa in Arizona

A jury in Arizona found a man guilty of first degree murder and robbery in the killing of a Point Borough woman who was attending college in Arizona, according to Fox News in Phoenix, AZ. Jose Luis Marquez, 22, was found guilty of first degree murder and robbery Monday morning in the slaying of Kyleigh Sousa, a Point Borough high school graduate who was attending Arizona State University (ASU). "A lot of tears were flowing when the family of the victim, 21-year-old Kyleigh Sousa, heard the guilty verdicts in court," reported Fox News. Opening arguments made in trial of man accused of killing Kyleigh Sousa in Arizona

The trial of a man accused of killing Point Borough's Kyleigh Sousa in Arizona in May 2010 is just underway. Joseluis Marquez is fighting murder and burglary charges in the death of Sousa, who was 21 years old the night she died outside an International House of Pancakes (IHop) restaurant in Tempe, AZ.
