Food Drive for St. Gregory's Pantry on Sunday

Drop-off site is Terry Perko Realtors, 2424 Bridge Ave., Point Borough

The public is urged to drop off non-perishable food to Terry Perko Realtors, 2424 Bridge Ave., Point Borough, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The most needed foods are, soups, pasta, tuna fish and other canned meats, peanut butter and jelly, and jars of tomato sauce. The amount of food in the pantry is low, even as more and more families are visiting. In last year's food drive, the pantry was filled and organizers are hoping for the same success this year. The real estate office is arranging for trucks to transport the food from the office to St. Gregory's in Point Beach.

The Passion Group was contracted by the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce to plan and run Summerfest from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sat. at Community Park, Bridge Avenue and Beaver Dam Road. Beginning with Point Pleasant SummerFest, this Saturday, Move For Hunger will be posted at area festivals, collecting food from participants and spreading awareness to the hunger problem in New Jersey …
