Brick Bank Robbery Suspect Linked to Woodbridge Bank Robbery

Suspect appears to be the same person, police say

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who may be linked to two bank robberies. On Jan. 4, an unidentified man robbed the OceanFirst bank branch on Adamston Road in Brick. During the course of the investigation into that robbery, investigators discovered that their suspect appeared to look very similar to the suspect in another bank robbery that occurred in Jan. 2012, said Brick Police Sgt. Keith Reinhard. The previous robbery occurred in Woodbridge. The suspect in the Brick bank robbery is described as a white male, approximately six feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark hooded coat, a light grey shirt, blue jeans and dark sneakers at the time. He fled in a green …

OceanFirst Gives to Point Beach, Toms River and Monmouth United Way

Foundation awards six grants to organizations in Sandy-battered communities

OceanFirst Foundation’s Relief and Recovery Grant Program is awarding six new grants totaling $93,000 to organizations in Point Pleasant Beach, Toms River and Monmouth County. The recipients are: Ocean Fire Co. #1, Point Pleasant Beach; Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, Toms River; Children’s Home Society, Toms River; Homes for All, Toms River; O.C.E.A.N., Inc., Toms River and United Way of Monmouth County, Farmingdale. "The foundation's grant program assists the efforts of nonprofit organizations in the New Jersey shore market area that are helping local families and individuals affected by Hurricane Sandy," says a prepared statement issued by the foundation. Point Boro's new Investors Bank is helping local first aid squad
