ReplyThis company does not even have a website from what I can tell. I am very curious to see who else submitted bids and for how much. This seems like a decent price, but all most too good to be true.

At the League of Women Voters Debate all candidates made it clear they are NOT in support of privatization of any aspect of the district. Gus may be crooked, but he supports the transpo department--the same goes with Torrone, Rhine and Spillane. Get your facts right.

ReplyI am still concerned about conflicts, the board attorney and truly changing the way the district is run. I am still distrustful of the established administration. I feel the board should revisit the notion of rehiring the superintendent. Conduct a proper national search and bring in someone who can lead the schools independently.

ReplyPavliv-Giovine can vote. Torrone cannot. APP made it clear that these e-mails were sent by a 3rd party, so the Clean Slate may not be in any violation. A simple apology would have sufficed...why should TR taxpayers pay for frivolous lawsuits to line the pockets of Monahan & co!

ReplyNow that the candidates are set, we should expect a wave of negative and dirty tactics from Roselli/Kakavas and his minions. He is now fighting for his job! I wonder if Frank is running a shadow campaign for Reuther/Kakavas just like Mike used to!

Very sad. It is a little too late as the epidemic has hit the area hard. People who want to let "god sort them out," clearly have no clue how addiction works, how families feel after losing a loved one or the power of increased focus on rehabilitation and therapy. It is not just "junkies" trying to get a fix these days, but as someone noted earlier, people who are overprescribed pain medicine or unemployed who fall into a darker stage of their lives. Friends, loved ones and the community need to reach out to those going down this path and do everything in their power to get them to seek help, and not just brush them off as lost causes.
