ReplyBetty Boop...you clearly have no idea what you are talking about and I feel sorry for your stupidity. I have many friends who have nearly lost their lives putting out fires.
If you think putting out a fire is no big deal then don't bother calling and handle it yourself.

ReplySomething is just not right...3.6 million dollars is really not that much money to do the work required. The material alone would cost a ton.
I guess this is a drawback from being required to take the lowest bidder. You may end up with what you pay for.
I hope it all works out in the end

They have come a long way with composite boards. Seaside Park has their entire walk way in composite and don't seem to have issues.

ReplyWho are they trying to kid when they mention they opted for wood over chearper synthetic boards. They went the cheap way out. 1 composit board equals about 5 pressure treated boards

ReplyI have so much respect for our volunteer Fire Departments...they sacrificed so much of their time to help others and continually recieve little to nothing in return. Hard to compare that to other public employees who were getting paid continual overtime.

ReplyInstead of going back and forth with this nonsense why don't we take a step back and congratulate the volunteer FD's who continually get the job done by putting their lives on the line for little to nothing in return.

ReplyJoyce I have a hard time feeling so sorry for you based on the reasons I have already stated.
You are pinning the blame on everyone else but yourself. NJ residents, our governor, our president, etc. You could have purchased the proper insurance but instead come on here and lie as if wasn't possible in an attempt to receive donations.
As I stated previously, FEMA will provide any business impacted by the storm with low interest loans. This goes for anywhere including NJ or Delaware. No NJ business is going to receiving money from FEMA without the need for it to be re-payed with interest.

ReplyJoyce you sound like an absolute fool. If you did not obtain the proper insurance then you need to look in the mirror before you point the finger this way and degrade the people of this state. Don't give me that nonsense on how you could not obtain the proper insurance....you don't fool me...you were unprepared or flat out did not want to spend the money. I have not received any federal aid but I sure as hell expect to get money from my flood insurance which is subsidized from the federal government. If you prefer to call me selfish because of that then go right ahead...I've funded over 50,000 towards that subsidiary.
Since you are spending so much of your time on the internet these days I think you should do your homework because FEMA only provided low interest loans to businesses no matter what state, town, or area you are in.
Call me Jersey Selfish all you want...because you are coming off as Delaware Dumb

Why don't we take a look at how much he has scapped at our local crap yards to get a better understanding if its just "a 25 dollar piece of wire". I have a feeling he has made a lot more than that
