ReplyWell if there is a silver lining in the cloud over Brick, it's the fact that Acropolis is not running again. Why is it the last few elections seasons our choices has been the lesser of two evils, be it the Presidential race or local. Since I'm independent and look at the person and not the party, I have to look very closely at all the candidates. I can not in any shape or form vote for ANY of the Acropolis tit suckers except maybe Dan Toth, I'm looking at Dan didn't say voting for him, not yet. I have to learn more about the others that are running before I make up my mind and push that button. You know who I wish would run? Sal Petoia, his comments on this board have been concise, his thoughts about the problems in Brick and how to solve them have been amazing. He would have my vote in two seconds and wouldn't be the lesser of two evils. How about it Sal?

As I have stated in past posts, I'm a total Independent and you have to prove to me that you are up to the job you are asking for, I don't care if you are a Republican or Democrat , that means nothing to me. I vote for the person not the party. That being said I have known Kathy Russell for a VERY long time, I think she would be perfect for the job, she was unfairly labeled as Scarpelli's puppet, knowing her as I do, I can tell you she's nobody's puppet. She's experienced, knows her way around town hall, what's the problem?

ReplyGeico is a total sham! Listen very well to the commercial which says, Give us fifteen minutes and you could save on rates. The operative word being COULD, not you will! My insurance company that I have had since I was a teen (now I'm old enough to remember when Brick had dirt roads) kept raising my rates, no tickets, no accidents. I called my current insurance company and asked them why I get a rate increase every six months, they blamed it then on the floods up in North Jersey. So I called Geico and they quoted me a very low rate, I decided to go with them, so they took my credit card number and started the process, then they said they had to check with Trenton and my record which is pretty damn clean and all of a sudden, my super low rate went to almost $200 above what I was paying with my current company . I said to the guy, your company is a sham, forget the whole thing, forget my credit card number and gave him a nice NJ word of advice which included a word that started with F. So, then I decided to call Flo, she seems cool and nice and it was the same deal, Progressive is a sham as well. Flo can take her pricing contraption and shove it up her and while she at it shove the little gecko up there too.

ReplyMy blue can was delivered in beautiful condition, have not noticed the water problem some have mentioned, but I have noticed they are much lighter than the regular cans and did blow over in a wind storm we had a couple of weeks ago and the gray one didn't. Can't wait to start using mine. I just hope that after they are emptied and a storm comes up, that they are not blown all over the roads around town. I would also like a list of what can and can't be put in the recycle cans posted on the Brick Web site, if there is a list already there, I can't find it.

ReplyThe roller coaster and it's fate is not just New Jersey news, but international news and now famous all over the world. Soooooo why not cut it up in pieces, stamp the pieces for validity and auction them off and the proceeds go to the victims of Hurricane Sandy? I'd buy a hunk of it!
