I was born and raised in Brick and spent my summers in Lavallette. I've never heard anyone refer to it as the "Barnegat Peninsula"

Actually - the best benefit I've seen thus far has been organized by those guys. Its similar to a relief run for Katrina, and they will be giving money directly to rebuild the Seaside Boardwalk, as well as small loans to affected businesses.
