Brilliant idea, let the barrier island go natural, let the ocean cut new inlets, let the bay have the same tides as the ocean and then wonder where all the baysiders will move to? Let's see, all the rateable oceanside and bayside will be gone and the inlanders will pick up the tax tab.....yeah right !

I hate to inform you but, it's the Democrats who are running the Trenton and Washington shows, If those houses aren't cleaned, nothing is going to change. The real solution is to kick out politicians after 2 terms, that way they haven't the time to get comfy and become crooks.

ReplyMenendez isn't coming to the Jersey shore because he's too busy flying around with his Florida buddy and his private plane. Represent NJ, all he has ever represented was the Menendez interests, re-election and perks. Send him to Washington for 20 years and that's what you get.........keep it up NJ, you get what you vote for......

They will not, I live adjacent to Rte 78 with a noise level well above the rules. No walls because the costs are millions per mile and the population density isn't high enough. You only get noise walls if you live in a ghetto and are a minority.

ReplyBoth Menendez and Laughtenberg are political animals, they are totally lockstep with the party and care only for votes. The current regime practices Quid Pro Quo and to expect differently just because this is New Jersey is drinking the KoolAid. Remember, they are politicians first, last and always........they have demonstrated this often, so remember to vote for them or their replacements next election.

WMS826, It is obvious the Koolaid is still available, I'm repaying to own my own house on the average of once every 5 years. I don't own my house, the government does, if I stop paying property taxes they take it from me.......that's not ownership, that's rental. Is that the "value" you speak of. Just maybe if parents were financially responsible for more of their children's education we would be getting more bang for the buck.

Your comment is off base, if what you say is true then the water entering at the Mantoloking breach would have been less severe because water can't enter if the levels in and out aren't different. The wind has an effect but it is substantially less than caused by the breach. Identify when the "south wind" did it's damage since Sandy was a essentially a northeaster.
