On the article Divers Give Brick's Oceanfront A Post-Sandy Checkup

ReplyI've been on the beaches at least 3 times a week since Sandy. Mostly Point but then Bay Head and now Brick. Other than right after the storm, nothing really has washed up. Except about 3 weeks ago I saw a folding chair in the surf on Brick Beach, but it was in perfect condition so I doubt it was from the storm. The ocean is so strong that nothing was going to stick around for long. Look at what happened to the debris field from the Tsunami.

ReplyI have been walking the beach at least 3 times a week since Sandy - mostly in Point Pleasant. Yes occasionally debris washes up, but I haven't seen anything dangerous since right after the storm.

ReplyHey how about we use the money to really fix the water problems in the schools so the kids can stop bringing bottles of water to school & then there is less to recycle.

ReplyWe were one of the groups on the side with the kids & had a great time! Though I'm not surprised to read pedestrians were hit by cars, I saw people running through the parade, one almost got hit by a golf cart! Crazy but a good time!!!

ReplyWhile I understand with most families having both parents working, this will help them out with child care costs, I am happy both my boys went to the PLC & it was only a half of a day. They're only kids for so long. OH and for the record, there is no law that the kids HAVE to go to Kindergarten.

ReplyI'll be printing this article & posting it on my teenagers bedroom door. He's got a few years before he drives, but it's never to early to drill this into them. Driving a car takes ALL OF YOUR ATTENTION. It seems lately every time I go out I'm dodging people on the phone or texting! The worst was the young woman who almost slammed into us getting on the parkway because she was looking at her phone!
I hope everyone heals quickly & she learns her lesson - she did get off easy.
