Reply@GOI...You say "take the ins. and move on." We are not talking about flood damages anymore, we are talking about FEMA. Most people that are being told to elevate 7+ feet(V Zones) haven't EVER had a drop of water in their homes in decades of living there. They get 12 or 24 inches ONE TIME, now they are being forced to either a)spend $100k+ to elevate their homes, b)pay an extra $30k+ per year in flood ins., or c)not purchase flood insurance. Is this fair?....or have you just not taken the time to educate yourself on the issues?

ReplyThis is why there is a court of law not a court of public opinion. Read just how outrageous some of your comments are, most with anonymous user names. Speculate all you want, the burden of proof is on the prosecution and they failed to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. It's a damn shame but it's really that simple now.

Setting the tone early I guess? I defer back to my original point-stick to the town's issues and the solutions to those issues. Solutions which preferably aren't "abolishing the Council" or putting fueling stations for electric cars in Community Park. Your words.

Setting the tone early I guess. The only person we would seek to hold accountable is yourself, but I don't even know when or where someone could have that conversation with you. It's not like you're at Council meetings I've been to more meetings this year than you have. The residents deserve better than a part-time Councilman

Best of luck Councilman. I know Bob and Joe plan on running a clean, issue-oriented campaign. Last year the Democratic candidates opted for negative, personal attacks...and released such mailpieces AFTER the hurricane had hit. Tasteless. They lost by 500 votes(would've been much more if the GOP's base districts hadn't taken such a hard hit. The last thing on peoples' minds was voting, and rightfully so). My point is I hope the Democrats learned their lesson that false, negative attacks don't work. The voters want to hear about the important issues at hand...I hope BOTH sides rise to the occasion

ReplyAnybody know what the Striper bite has been like in the back bays last week or so? Trying to avoid Oyster Creek though, generally a mob scene. Island Beach usually a great spot not sure what the roads are like

ReplyMaybe our do nothing Senate President Steve Sweeney will give Joe Coronato a hearing sometime this decade. It's a disgrace what Sweeney's doing to so many well qualified nominees throughout this state.
